A week ago, we covered a question from a reader (read more here) about the bonus posting issue for the recent IHG Rewards Club offer for up to quadruple points that ended on January 31 (new promo starts next week – read more here).
You can access IHG’s page for quadruple points here.
Here’s statement that we received from the IHG spokesperson after publishing the piece:
Also, to your question last week, the call center is correct in that it may take up to 5 weeks after a stay for bonus points to populate in the member’s account for both the previous and current 4X, due to the functionality of this particular promotion.
Here’s an update that the reader sent us:
The reader received at least some of the missing points as a dump on February 3.
Here’s what we published earlier:
IHG Rewards Club launched an offer in October for up to quadruple points for stays through January 31, 2020, that were first required to be booked by December 15 but was later changed to January 15.
Here’s the email from the reader:

This week in Monona, WI – posting without the extra row with 4x points.
I asked the customer service. They said it takes up to 5 weeks, but that’s a bogus answer if you’re asking me.
Last weeks I was in London and Sydney. All posted correctly.
The bonus points for this offer either post with the stay or not at all. It seems that IHG may not have correctly reprogrammed the bookind deadline change or there are other issues preventing correctly posting the points.
I requested clarification from IHG but they remained silent on this issue.
I much prefer when bonus points from offers post with the stay itself; that is the case with IHG most of the time. It is challenging to follow up with these bonuses because there is no information about which stays they apply to.
Let’s hope that IHG has posted the missing points for all members who commented on the piece.
