Panamanian government has decided to close “Hub of the Americas” for business, and Copa Airlines is grounding all flights from March 23 until April 21, 2020.
The airline is offering flexible canceling options and moving flights to some later time. There is one word, however, missing from the email sent out that is REFUNDS.
Here’s the email from Copa:
Passengers whose flights are canceled due to grounding of the Copa Airlines should contact the airline and request a refund for the method of payment used.
If Copa Airlines refuses to refund or you cannot get through, file a chargeback with Visa/Mastercard/American Express for services not provided as purchased. Do not accept a voucher or ability to use the funds at some later time.
