Marriott Bonvoy sent out an email (read more here) earlier this week, effectively informing its Ambassador-level guests that the personalized service had ended (and likely the Ambassadors furloughed/fired).
Now, Hyatt has countered Marriott and sent out an email to select Globalist members, reminding them that their “My Hyatt Concierge” program is around and alive.
You can access Hyatt’s page for Globalist benefits here.
Here’s email that Hyatt sent out to select members:
Subject: We care about you
I hope this message finds you and your family well and safe!
I just wanted to reach out and let you know that we here at Hyatt care for the wellbeing of you and your family! Our thoughts are with you during this uncertain time. We are monitoring the situation closely and just want you to know that when it is safe to travel again, we are here for you!
In the meantime, please do what you can to keep you and your family healthy and safe!
I hope the threat of travel dangers diminish quickly and we can welcome you back to our locations soon.
Just know that I am here for you and will remain to be your My Hyatt Concierge.
Please take care and stay safe!! 🙂
Here’s message that Marriott sent out:
This is an exciting counterattack from Hyatt, pointing out that the My Hyatt Concierges are still here to help while Marriott has effectively disintegrating the entire Ambassador-program’s core purpose – personalized service.
