Hertz is offering free car rentals for healthcare sector employees in the New York City (read more here), and now New York Marriott Marquis Hotel has discounted rates for First Responders.

It is unclear for how long this rate plan is available and the exact T&Cs, as I was unable to pull them up.

You can access this rate on Marriott’s website here.

If you wonder what are considers First Responders, here’s what Google returned:

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), paramedics, firefighters, and police officers are all considered first responders.

Here’s rate search:

The first responder rate is $129 per night, excluding taxes. There is no fake destination surcharge in New York at the moment.

Not sure if you can even book a regular rate for stays at this hotel presently, as those returned an error message. This First Responder did not.

There is a minimal demand for hotel accommodation in New York City, and Four Seasons was offering free rooms for emergency sector employees. This Marriott rate would be exceptional if outside of this pandemic time.
