Hotels first released e Greater China and Asia-Pacific status extensions and reservations waivers due to the coronavirus pandemic that we first covered in late February (read more here).
COVID-19 has turned to a worldwide pandemic since our last update, and most status and reservation policies are now valid for members and stays worldwide.
Note that we cover all changes to these policies daily as they are instituted.
Here are the current status extensions & reservation cancellation waivers:
Accor Live Limitless
Accor has a somewhat confusing global cancellation policy for stays through May 31, 2020, and in some markets longer. You may be eligible for a refund and, in some markets, merely a hotel credit.
Accor Live Limitless members outside of Greater China will get half of the base points (not redeemable) and nights deposited to their accounts.
Accor Live Limitless members in Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan) will have their status extended by 12 months.
Best Western Rewards
Best Western reservations in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean can be canceled for any arrival date if done at minimum 24 hours before of intended stay or by June 30.
Best Western Rewards status is extended through January 2022 for everyone, including those that were about to lose theirs in 2020.
Choice Hotels allows reservations to be canceled for any arrival date if done on or before June 30, 2020.

IHG Rewards Club
IHG’s global waiver is also for stays through June 30, 2020, but allows some hotels to offer close to useless vouchers/credits.
IHG is extending status by 12 months for members whose accounts are in Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan).
IHG has lowered qualification requirements for 2020 that needs to be revised down or withdrawn altogether.
IHG Rewards Club has waived points expiry through December 31, 2020.
IHG is extending Ambassador memberships and free weekend night vouchers by three months.

Marriott Bonvoy is waiving points expiry and extending Suite Night and Free Night Awards through 2021.
Radisson is only offering modification and credits for reservations canceled through June 30, 2020.
Radisson Rewards is extending elite statuses by a year and points expiry by six months.
The gold standard for Covid-19 reservation waivers and status extensions is to offer refunds for canceled stays (not credits or funny money) and extend elite statuses by a year.
Covid-19 will be us for a while creating havoc when it comes to airlines and hotels due to travel and entry bans, which will be around for a while. It is unclear when we can again travel freely.
