The on-going global coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has temporarily suspended (read closed) many hotels, some are offering free rooms for healthcare sector employees, and select governments are renting out entire hotels for quarantining people.
As the global travel has come to a complete halt, some hotels are offering staycation packages for locals (where safe). Then there are hotels such as Hilton Garden Inn Bali that has decided to offer very low rates for those staying for a month.
You can access Hilton Garden Inn Bali’s website here.
Here’s an offer that a reader forwarded to us:
The daily rate is $21++ (you need to add tax + service charge). It is unclear if the rate plan is Honors qualifying.
Hilton Garden Inn Bali is very popular among Hilton Honors members due to costing just 5,000 points per night (20,000 for five nights – fifth nights free).
It does make sense for hotels to offer more extended packages for locals or expats that would rather stay in a hotel for an extended period when short term transient business is way down or nonexistent.
Have you come across similar packages at other hotels? Leave a comment below with information (you can attach a photo as well) or send me an email.
