World of Hyatt announced back on April 3, 2020 (read more here) that elite tiers would be extended by a year and free night awards through December 31, 2021.
Elite tiers were already extended last week through February 28, 2022 (read more here), and today Hyatt has processed the free night awards.

The reader had had one certificate just expire few days ago and even that was extended to 2021.
My single free night certificate that was just issued last Friday and was set to expire this October 31, 2020, was pushed to December 31 next year.

Conclusion
Hyatt and World of Hyatt have done it right both for the guests and loyalty program members. I am glad that these certificate extensions were processed promptly.
