IHG and IHG Rewards Club have both experienced login issues that started this past weekend and are currently still on-going.
Sometimes you cannot log in on the website while the app works and vice versa. Then there are weird error messages from wrong passwords to 30-minute long time outs.

I was in touch with the IHG spokesperson to find out what was going on:
We are aware that some IHG Rewards Club users may have had difficulty accessing their accounts recently due to system maintenance underway to further enhance security. We are in the process of restoring access to these accounts now and apologize for any inconvenience.
There have been various error messages displayed both online and on the apps (at least four). These are not something you occasionally come across when the hotel company does IT and member accounts updates.
You have to say that this is probably the best time to do database works considering that a high percentage of hotels are closed, and occupancy at the ones still open is in the low 20% (per IHG’s release yesterday).
