Hotels and airlines (the entire hospitality sector) are bleeding due to lockdowns, travel, and entry bans that have decimated the industry over the past couple of months.
As at least the first peak of the pandemic is about to come to an end (there are likely multiple), and many countries are starting to relax quarantine rules, hotels, and airlines have begun to offer excellent deals (and hotels with very flexible rebooking options through 2021) to get some cash in.
Many of these deals are not publicly promoted because hotels prefer not to discount their headline prices, but offer packages or deals “under the table.”
So, we are asking our readers to forward reasonable offers that they receive from airlines and hotels.
There are hotels in otherwise almost closed countries that offer staycation deals for locals and many governments rather see this activity taking place to keep the economy humming and staff employed.
It seems that hotels have not pushed these rate plans for their branded websites, but are only bookable through the hotel either by calling in or email.
We have already covered multiple offers for stays in Bali, the deal with Banyan Tree, and IHG’s pandemic Flash Sale for stays in Southeast Asia. Keep them coming!
