UPDATE: IHG Rewards Club Credit Card Anniversary Free Night Exclusion (Issue Resolved)

IHG Rewards Club introduced variable award pricing back in April for hotels in Greater China (read more here) and last month in other markets (read more here).

This led to a situation where members with free night certificates from affiliated credit cards were not able to use them at hotels that cost 40,000 points or less that we covered yesterday.

UPDATE: Note that we received a confirmation from IHG today that the issue of booking one of the hotels below, when the number of points required is 40,000 or less, has now been resolved.

I am glad that IHG has been able to resolve the technical issues of booking the hotels mentioned above when their price using points is within the free night certificate requirement.
