Qatar Airways Privilege Club Extending Qmiles Expiry By Nine Months (Unclear If Everyone)

Both Qatar Airways and Privilege Club have announced several policies due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Privilege Club extended member tiers by a year (read more here), and Qatar Airways introduced number travel and cleanliness standards (read more here).

You can access Qatar Airways here.

Privilege Club has not previously announced what they are going to do for members who have expiring Qmiles (award miles). The airline has not released an official communication, and there is nothing about this on their website either.

They have, however, emailed members who have miles expiring this month that they are extended by nine months through March 31, 2021. It is unclear if this is a blanket policy for all.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club 1 Year Status Extension + Qcredits Now Valid For 24 Months

Not sure why it has been so difficult to Qatar Airways to make this extension a blanket policy and just announce it to everyone?

Many Privilege Club members have not been able to travel in the past few months, and won’t perhaps for an extended period. It would have been fair if they had just extended them by a year.
