Delta bought a stake in LATAM last year, and they introduced reciprocal miles earning and award benefits earlier this year.
LATAM yesterday released a list of elite benefits (read more here) that its frequent fliers can avail to themselves on Delta operated flights. There are Medallion benefits in place on LATAM flights for Delta fliers too.
You can access Delta’s page for Medallion benefits on partner airlines here.
Delta Medallion benefits on LATAM flights:
(1) Medallion Member’s LATAM Seat Selection fee will be waived for regular seat assignment.
(2) Delta Diamond and Platinum Medallion Members will have access to the priority check-in line at airports where an exclusive LATAM check-in counter for Black & Black Signature members is available (BOG, GRU, LIM, MIA, SCL).
(3) An additional piece of luggage over the standard baggage allowance on fare/route booked.
(4) Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion Members can have one additional guest per ticket. View LATAM’s VIP Lounge locations here.
Not sure since when these LATAM benefits have been available for Delta Medallions? The LATAM elite benefits on Delta operated flights began on August 7, 2020.
Appears to be a pretty standard set of benefits. The main advantage that I enjoyed most on LATAM as Oneworld Emerald was a free checked bag on intra-Brazil tickets that don’t come with any. Not sure if this benefit applies to all Delta Gold and higher Medallions?
