EXTENDED: Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) Discovery Platinum Status After Two Nights By December 31, 2020

Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) is a collection of independently branded chain hotels, as the name suggests, that work together under the GHA’s Discovery guest recognition program.

Now, Discover members can get a tier upgrade to Platinum by merely having a stay of two nights at any of the hotels by December 31, 2020. Platinum status usually requires a minimum of 10 nights in a calendar year.

You can access this offer on GHA Discovery’s website here.

Note that this offer was supposed to end on August 31, 2020, but has now been extended through the end of 2020.

Conclusion

GHA is a weird mix of random brands around the world that are tied up through Discovery-program from the guest’s perspective.

You don’t earn free nights or points, but instead collect Local Experience Awards by staying various brands for the first time (I had mine expire years ago).

It wasn’t long ago when Alila was part of GHA but is now affiliated with World of Hyatt after Hyatt bought the chain.
