Asiana, a Korean Star Alliance airline, on Monday, sent out a communication to elite members about their status extensions.

Asiana Club is extending member tiers only by six months when most airlines have started with extending by a full year.

Conclusion

It is challenging to see how merely extending member tiers by six months in this current environment would be sufficient, and I have started to argue that even a year is not enough.

I hope that Asiana revisits this decision in due course and further pushes back member tiers’ expiry.
