Virgin Australia Velocity Buy Points 100% Bonus November 13, 2020


Virgin Australia, an unaffiliated airline (no part of any alliance) that Bain just acquired, has launched a points sale.

You can now buy Velocity miles with a 100% bonus until November 13, 2020, and if my calculations are correct, you pay roughly 0.83 US cents each.

This table is without the purchase bonus. The price of 200,000 points should be $1,657 (USD), roughly 0.83 cents each.

I couldn’t pull up the buy Velocity points page with the price because you either must have earned their points previously or have some in your account before you can acquire them for cash.

The partner award tables look quite attractive considering the price of a mile, although Aussies may have some trouble traveling outside of their county until sometime in 2021.

Buying Points with Velocity Points Booster is facilitated by Points Inc.

Velocity members who buy Velocity Points through the Velocity Points Booster website, the Velocity App or the Membership Contact Centre between 12:00 AM AEST 13 October 2020 and 11:59 PM AEST 13 November 2020 (Promotion Period) will receive a 100% Velocity Points bonus calculated as a percentage depending on the amount of Velocity Points bought in any one transaction during the Promotion Period.
