LATAM Pass Buy Points Elite Qualifying November – December 2020

LATAM Pass is about to launch an interesting offer for members who buy its points between November – December 2020.

LATAM Pass members will earn elite qualifying points for each point they purchase. The maximum number allowed or ratio at this time is unclear.

Conclusion

There is yet nothing on LATAM’s English website about this offer that should start tomorrow.

LATAM Pass status was more useful before the airline decided to exit Oneworld and teamed up with Delta (got an equity injection before filing for bankrupt – surely Delta regrets this), but not to join SkyTeam.

This offer can perhaps make sense for some LATAM Pass members. I would not expect the airline to complete disintegrate, although they already decided to fold operations in Argentina, and it is unsure what happens with their Brazil operations (Previously TAM).
