Marriott Bonvoy has had a program sign-up offer for years that require the new member to have two stays within four months to earn a free night certificate (worth up to 25,000 points).
Now, new members can choose between the free night certificate offer OR earning 2,500 bonus points for the first stay after joining.

Note that it is unclear how long this sign up offer is valid. The program that it is part of is currently open until the end of 2021.
