The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane opened its doors in 1927 as the Park Lane Hotel, and it’s one of the finest examples of Art Deco style in London. This property was bought by (then independent hotel chain) Sheraton in 1996, but it wasn’t until 2016 when the Sheraton brand was added to the property name, after a major renovation of its 303 guestrooms and interior space.
Here’s official property photos and their description of their Art Deco Suite:
Our sumptuous Art Deco suites are designed to provide with ultimate comfort and the signature Sheraton experience, but with a stylish edge. Just like a classic Art Deco hotel, our rooms are intricately decorated with the timeless, unmistakable themes of Art Deco, featuring bold lines, sweeping curves and statement furniture. With golden domes bevelled-mirrors and walk in wardrobes, you’ll get a taste of the Gatsby lifestyle as you step back in time to an era of class, beauty and enduring elegance.
You’ll find all the same relaxation delights that we offer with our classic rooms, including luxury Sheraton bathrobes & slippers, mood lighting, the finest quality bedding and an incredibly inviting bathtub and shower along with complimentary signature Sheraton bathroom amenities.
No matter what your purpose is for visiting, our Art Deco rooms are built to facilitate your every need. If it’s business that brings you down to Park Lane, the solid oak work desk, chair and lamp will sufficiently accommodate your working needs. You will also have access to high-speed Internet and universal power adapters.
If you’re here visiting the capital, our suites provide the perfect space in which you can kick back and wind down. You can sink into your comfortable Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience bed and watch a film on the 32” inch TV or brew yourself a fresh beverage from the Nespresso Coffee Machine as you gaze out onto the mesmeric views of the city. Art Deco Suite guests will also have access to the Sheraton Club Lounge and can enjoy a complimentary Afternoon Tea at the iconic Palm Court.
Here is our video review and commentary on this room:
This is a lovely property in Piccadilly. It’s Art Deco style gives the interior a lot of character and the latest refreshment of the rooms was really well done. It’s still a solid option in Central London.
