Scam Emails Getting More Professional: Hilton Honors 20,000 Points Offer

There are plenty of scam phone calls (see the piece earlier in the week) going around, but emails are going out as well.

You should always check the URL if you click any email, and unless they are,,, Ihg,com, etc., you should think twice.

I tend to open them on an incognito window and close them if the email is not legit.

If something appears to be too good to be true, such as Hilton offering you 20,000 just by logging into your account, it usually is.

These fraudsters try to access your account and then clean it up from points by linking with Amazon or redeeming for car rentals (these are the two most common).
