World Of Hyatt Globalist 2021 Qualification Completed

World of Hyatt dropped me an email yesterday, and there was a notice on the app that I had requalified for Globalist status in 2021.

This is not quite the usual achievement because Hyatt cut the qualification requirements in half (read more here) and decided to roll over select nights from 2020 into 2021 and double count the nights consumed for qualification purposes until February 28, 2021.

You can access World of Hyatt here.

The select nights from late 2020 counted towards the status in 20201 and brought the night count to 16.

So far in 2021, I have had nine nights, but two of those three nights stays were booked on the third night free rates (you need to have the “free” night manually adjusted to qualify). 2 X (3+2+2) = 14.

I believe that the count so far is right. Sixteen nights from 2020 and 14 nights from 2021 = 30 nights.

The cat 1 – 4 free night award was deposited to my account with four months validity, although the one issued in 2020 won’t expire before the end of 2021. Doesn’t make much sense.

I need to visit three brands to earn another Brand Explorer-award.

Here’s a copy of the qualification mail that Hyatt sent out:

I am currently on an 11 nights extended stay that earns me 22 qualifying nights. These help with milestone bonuses, but, unfortunately, they end at 100 nights like what I experienced in 2020.

There will be quite a few other nights that I have planned to credit to Hyatt before the current offer is over, putting me way past the 60 nights.

Why World Of Hyatt Milestone Bonuses Stop At 100 Nights?

My night tally in 2020 was close to 120, but I didn’t receive any additional bonuses past 100 nights. Sad!
