Alaska Airlines, which is in the process of joining the Oneworld Alliance on March 31, 2021, has launched an offer to get new members to sign up for its frequent flier program.
New Mileage Plan members who sign up by February 5, 2021, can earn up to 5,000 bonus miles for flights flown by May 31.

Sign up by February 5, 2021
- Fly two segments by May 31, 2021, & earn 2,500 bonus miles
- Fly four segments by May 31, 2021, & earn 5,000 bonus miles
There are members in the United States looking for a new home for their flights, and Alaska may now better work for them due to a partnership with American and other Oneworld airlines.
However, it remains to be seen how competitive the Mileage Plan will be because they won’t release full program details before late February.

Bonus miles offer is valid only for new Mileage Plan members who enroll and register via the promotional landing page by February 5, 2021. Enrollment and registration must take place prior to the first qualifying flight. Eligible members will receive 2,500 bonus miles after completing two qualifying flight segments and an additional 2,500 bonus miles for completing two more qualifying flight segments prior to May 31, 2021, for a maximum total of 5,000 bonus miles. To qualify, the flight must be eligible to earn Mileage Plan miles and must be credited to the new Mileage Plan account; Travel is valid on Alaska Airlines flight 1-1999, 2000-2999, and 3300-3450. Codeshare flights and flights with partner airlines do not qualify. An individual Mileage Plan member may receive a maximum of 5,000 bonus miles via this offer, even if they hold multiple separate Mileage Plan accounts. Offer is not combinable with other Mileage Plan enrollment or account activation promotions. All Mileage Plan conditions of membership apply.
