Marriott Bonvoy Sends Targeted Bonus Offers But Cannot Register?


Marriott Bonvoy has been very active in sending various bonus points offers over the past two months that we have covered here, here, here, and here.

And finally, today, I received a targeted offer for up to 18,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for three weekend stays. The only problem is that it is impossible to register for it.

Here’s the entire email that Marriott sent out:

There is no sighting of it on the Marriott app:

Promotions are EMPTY.

Nothing on the website either:

They are pushing you to sign up for a credit card.

And when I click the link on the email and open in an incognito window:

Promotion is not available for you.


I first thought great! I hadn’t had a targeted offer for close to a year or so.

How on earth they send out targeted bonus offers to what must at minimum be tens of thousands of members when these promotions have not been loaded to accounts and registrations enabled?

Is there anyone with any competence left with Bonvoy, or has anyone employable outside of Marriott already long gone? Does Marriott Bonvoy do any level of quality control in regards to emails sent out? I am genuinely baffled.
