Playa del Carmen is a popular beach (and party) destination in the Riviera Maya. Its fast growing popularity didn’t escape the attention of Hyatt, opening this Grand Hyatt in June 2015. The beachfront resort offers 314 guestrooms, including 36 suites, 20 oceanfront “air suites” and two presidential suites.
Here’s some official pictures and the property’s description of their King Executive Suite:
Elevate your experience in this 818 square feet suite located in front of the sea. This exclusive suite has a separate bedroom with a king bed and a fully furnished terrace where you can admire the impressive ocean front view of the Caribbean Sea from your own private plunge pool. Enjoy unforgettable moments from a spacious living and dining room.
Here is our video review and commentary on this suite:
It may not be the Ritz Carlton, but it is a nice, spacious suite. The noise is pretty much always a major issue at “party” resorts, but their approach of explaining the issues and giving a room choice at check in was a proper way to handle it.
This property is a World of Hyatt award category 6, with base rooms selling from 25,000 points/$200++ per night. This particular suite is selling for $600++ for Spring 2021.
