Avianca, a bankrupt Colombian airline, based in Panama, has launched a promotion from points to miles conversions.

LifeMiles will bonus conversions from IHG Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy by 25% through May 29, 2021.

You can convert 10,000 IHG Rewards points to 2,000 LifeMiles that is then bonused by adding 25% (for a total of 2,500 miles).

Marriott Bonvoy

You can convert 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to 25,000 LifeMiles that is then bonused by adding 25% (for a total of 31,250 miles).

Conclusion

The conversion rate of IHG Rewards points to airline miles is horrendous, but Marriott Bonvoy might make sense for some, although you can buy LifeMiles cheaply during their frequent sales.
