Alaska Airlines today joined the Oneworld Alliance, American Airlines being the sponsoring entity (and their west coast alliance likely the reason behind this tie-up).
Oneworld Alliance airlines should today publish their updated mileage earnings charts for Alaska Airlines flights, many have been partners already previously, and the award bookings should be possible as well.
Here’s the updated Alaska table for BA Executive Club members:
Fewer fare classes are earning 25% while the domestic “first” is now classified as a business and maxes at 125% Avios on flown miles.
You have been able to earn and redeem Avios for Alaska Airlines flights for years.
Today’s main change is that their flights are now tier points earning (elite qualifying), and Silver (Oneworld Sapphire) and higher Executive Club members have access to Alaska’s lounges when flying on Oneworld flights.
