Singapore Airlines has launched an interesting offer that allows KrisFlyer members to earn elite qualifying miles and PPS Credits for partner transactions through February 28, 2022.

You can convert points from banking partners or other loyalty programs, use KrisShop, or use co-branded credit cards.

Conclusion

Airlines and hotel loyalty programs have become more innovative keeping members engaged but what is an elite status worth when most travel destinations are closed for non-citizen/resident arrivals, although this is slowly changing towards the end of 2021.

I have been contemplating converting my HSBC points to KrisFlyer that would earn me 240,000 miles right now which would convert to 48,000 elite LKrisFlyer miles in the process.

I already have Star Alliance Gold with both United (lifetime) and Aegean (already qualified through 2022), so not sure what KrisFlyer Gold would do (I have had it in the past).

  1. When is the ‘Unlock Status Credits without Flying’ campaign period?

    The campaign will be held from 7 April 2021 0000 hours (GMT+8) to 28 February 2022 2359 hours (GMT+8).
    All non-air transactions and activities must be completed by 28 February 2022 2359 hours (GMT+8) in order to qualify to earn PPS Value or Elite miles.

  2. Is there a maximum amount of PPS Value or Elite miles I can earn from this campaign?

    There is no maximum PPS Value (for PPS Club members) or Elite miles (for KrisFlyer Elite or KrisFlyer members) that can be earned by participating in this Campaign.

  3. I am a PPS Club member. Can I earn Elite miles simultaneously through this campaign?

    PPS Club members will only be able to earn PPS Value through this campaign to count towards renewal in their current tier, or to qualify for upgrade to the Solitaire PPS Club tier, where applicable.

  4. I am a KrisFlyer Elite member, can I earn PPS Value through this campaign?

    KrisFlyer Elite members will only be able to earn Elite miles through this campaign to renew in their current tier or to qualify for upgrade to the KrisFlyer Elite Gold tier, where applicable.

Bank Conversion

  1. How do I qualify for this campaign through my bank conversions to KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles during the campaign period?

    Simply convert your bank points to KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles via your bank rewards platform or Kris+ mobile app during the campaign period.

    On your bank rewards platform: Convert a minimum of 10,000 KrisFlyer miles with any of our global bank partners, and earn 1 PPS Value (for PPS Club members) for every 10 KrisFlyer miles or 1 Elite mile (for KrisFlyer Elite or KrisFlyer members) for every 5 KrisFlyer miles successfully converted during the campaign.

    Yes, if you hold a bank account with one of the participating banks in Singapore where you can convert bank points to KrisPay miles. However, members will only be able to redeem KrisPay miles from the Kris+ mobile app via our partner outlets in Singapore.

  4. Will I be able to combine multiple bank partner points conversion to make up the minimum of 10,000 KrisFlyer to qualify for this campaign?

    Each bank transaction will require a minimum of 10,000 KrisFlyer miles converted in a single transaction to qualify for this campaign.

    For example:

    • If you convert 9,000 miles from Bank X and 1,000 miles from Bank Y, both transactions will not qualify.
    • If you convert 10,000 miles from Bank X and 9,999 miles from Bank Y, your Bank X transaction will qualify but not your Bank Y transaction.
    • If you convert 10,000 miles from Bank X and 10,500 miles from Bank Y, both transactions will qualify and a total of 20,500 miles will be considered for the PPS Value or Elite miles award.

    The PPS Value or Elite miles awarded will be calculated based on each qualifying transaction and not on the cumulative sum of KrisFlyer miles converted during the campaign period.

  5. Can I convert my bank points to KrisFlyer miles in different transactions to earn status credits for membership tier qualification or upgrades?

    Yes, you can convert your bank points to KrisFlyer miles in different transactions and earn status credits, as long as you successfully convert at least 10,000 KrisFlyer miles in each transaction via the bank rewards platform, or convert the applicable minimum KrisPay miles* via the Kris+ mobile app, by the end of the campaign period.

  7. I converted 120,000 KrisFlyer miles using my bank points. What is the number of PPS Value or Elite miles I will get?

    In this case, you will receive 12,000 PPS Value as a PPS Club member or 24,000 Elite miles as a KrisFlyer Elite or KrisFlyer member, assuming that a minimum of 10,000 miles was converted at every bank conversion transaction, via the bank partner’s rewards platform.

  8. Will I earn PPS Value or Elite miles if I convert my bank points to 20,000 KrisFlyer miles and 3,000 KrisPay miles?

    Yes, the conversion of your bank reward points to a combination of KrisFlyer miles and KrisPay miles will qualify for this campaign, as long as:

    • A minimum of 10,000 KrisFlyer miles converted from reward points from any of our global bank partners (“Bank Points“)
    • The minimum amount of KrisPay miles converted from Bank Points (issued by bank partners listed on Kris+ app ) is met. Conversion will have to be completed via Kris+ mobile app.

Co-brand Cards

  1. How do I qualify for this campaign with my KrisFlyer Co-brand debit/credit cards?

    To qualify, simply spend on your co-brand cards and accrue KrisFlyer miles within the qualifying period. Earn 1 PPS Value for every 10 KrisFlyer miles accrued, or 1 Elite mile for every 5 KrisFlyer miles accrued, subject to a minimum of 100 KrisFlyer miles accrued from your co-brand cards qualifying spend per statement month. No bank points will be earned on co-brand cards.

  2. I made a purchase on KrisShop by redeeming my KrisFlyer miles. Does my purchase qualify for this campaign?

    No, only purchases on KrisShop paid for with credit/debit cards qualify for this campaign.

  3. I bought an item via mail order or inflight sales* using my PPS Club Gift Voucher (for PPS Club members) or Inflight Gift Voucher, and paid the remaining via credit or debit card. Does my credit or debit card spend qualify for this campaign?

    Yes, PPS Value (for PPS Club members) or Elite miles (for KrisFlyer or KrisFlyer Elite members) will be earned on the nett amount paid with a credit or debit card. This nett amount refers to the final value after excluding any delivery charges, prevailing taxes, customs/import duties and postal clearance. To qualify, your KrisFlyer membership number must be quoted in your order.

    During the campaign period, you can:

    All conversions must be successfully completed by 28 February 2022 2359 hours (GMT+8) in order to qualify. This means that the conversion transaction must be initiated before 28 February 2022, and takes into consideration the processing time required by the respective non-air partners.

For hotel stays or car rentals, the date of transaction is deemed as the check-out date or the date of return of the vehicle, respectively.
  3. PPS Club members will earn double PPS Value for all Qualifying Transactions, where KrisFlyer miles are earned through spend on the Kris+ mobile app, KrisShop and KrisFlyer Spree (a Non-Air Partner), completed between 07 April 2021 – 21 April 2021 (the “Launch Promotion”).
  4. There is no maximum amount of PPS Value that a PPS Club member can earn by participating in this Campaign.
  5. The PPS Value will be calculated on a per Qualifying Transaction basis and not on the cumulative sum of KrisFlyer miles or KrisPay miles earned or converted during the Campaign Period.
  6. Welcome KrisFlyer miles earned from enrolment and/or first-time transactions using the co-brand card(s) and KrisFlyer miles awarded as prizes under lucky draws are not Qualifying Transactions and will not accrue PPS Value under this Campaign. SIA reserves the right to exclude other promotional campaigns and transactions from earning PPS Value under this Campaign.   7. Bonus KrisPay miles earned from bank conversion promotional activities within the Kris+ mobile app (such as through bonus campaigns or gamification) are not Qualifying Transactions and will not accrue PPS Value under this Campaign.
  8. PPS Value accrued from this Campaign will accrue PPS Rewards, should members achieve the various PPS Rewards thresholds with their PPS Value.
  9. Should there be refunds of any transaction that results in the accrual of PPS Value made under this Campaign, SIA will reverse the crediting of the PPS Value awarded in respect of that refunded transaction.
  10. The KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles for each Qualifying Transaction must be first accrued or converted successfully in accordance with the applicable partner conversion or accrual timeframe specified in such partner’s terms and conditions. The PPS Value earned under this Campaign will then be credited to the members’ account up to 7 (seven) working days after the KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles have been credited for the relevant Qualifying Transaction.
  11. The conversion of Bank Points is subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the participating bank. A participating PPS Club member will be responsible for any fees related to the conversion of Bank Points to KrisFlyer miles.

  4. There is no maximum amount of Elite miles that a KrisFlyer Elite or KrisFlyer member can earn by participating in this Campaign.
  5. The Elite miles will be calculated on a per Qualifying Transaction basis and not on the cumulative sum of KrisFlyer miles or KrisPay miles earned or converted during the Campaign Period.
  6. Welcome KrisFlyer miles earned from enrolment and/or first-time transactions, using the co-brand card(s) and KrisFlyer miles awarded as prizes under lucky draws are not Qualifying Transactions and will not accrue Elite miles under this Campaign. SIA reserves the right to exclude other promotional campaigns and transactions from earning Elite miles under this Campaign. Please refer to the terms and conditions for each promotional campaign for more information
  7. Bonus KrisPay miles earned from bank conversion promotional activities within the Kris+ mobile app (such as through bonus campaigns or gamification), are not Qualifying Transactions and will not accrue Elite miles under this campaign.
  8. Elite miles accrued from this Campaign will not count towards the attainment of KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards.
  9. Should there be refunds of any transaction that results in the accrual of Elite miles made under this Campaign, SIA will reverse the crediting of the Elite miles awarded in respect of that refunded transaction.
  10. The KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles for each Qualifying Transaction must be first accrued or converted successfully in accordance with the applicable partner conversion or accrual timeframe specified in such partner’s terms and conditions. The Elite miles earned under this Campaign will then be credited to the members’ account up to 7 (seven) working days after the KrisFlyer miles and/or KrisPay miles have been credited for the relevant Qualifying Transaction.
  11. The conversion of Bank Points is subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the participating bank. A participating KrisFlyer Elite or KrisFlyer member will be responsible for any fees related to the conversion of Bank Points to KrisFlyer miles.

General T&Cs

  1. All purchases made from KrisShop shall be governed by the terms found at https://www.krisshop.com/en/page/kf-milesMembers need to log in to their KrisFlyer accounts on KrisShop.com when making an eligible transaction for it to be a Qualifying Transaction under this Campaign.

  2. Purchase of “Discover Your Singapore Airlines” experiences on KrisShop made before 7 April 2021 will entitle KrisFlyer members to receive PPS Value or Elite miles as part of the Earning of PPS Value and Elite miles for “Discover Your Singapore Airlines” Experiences Campaign, subject to its terms and conditions. In such cases, no PPS Value or Elite miles will be awarded under this Campaign.

  4. All transactions or conversions made with the bank partners, co-brand cards, and/or non-air partners shall be governed by the partner’s terms and conditions. Members need to log in to their KrisFlyer account or provide a valid KrisFlyer membership number when making an eligible transaction for it to be a Qualifying Transaction under this Campaign. SIA reserves the right to amend the list of eligible bank partners, co-brand cards and non-air partners at any time without prior notice.   5. All decisions made by SIA relating to this Campaign shall be final. SIA reserves the right to vary these T&Cs, terminate or otherwise amend this Campaign without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion. SIA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participating KrisFlyer members.

  6. All PPS Value and Elite miles awarded under this Campaign will be subject to the KrisFlyer Terms & Conditions at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/.

  7. By participating in the Campaign, each participant agrees that any and all personal data he/she submits (including his/her name, KrisFlyer membership number, and email address) may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed (collectively, “Processed”) by SIA. All collection, use and disclosure of participant’s personal data will be in accordance with SIA’s Privacy Policy (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/privacy-policy/).

  8. SIA will not be responsible for any consequences that any participant may suffer (including without limitation any damage, loss, injury or disappointment), or that results in an infringement of any law or regulation, by participating in this Campaign.

  9. By participating in this Campaign, each participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these T&Cs, SIA’s Privacy Policy and KrisFlyer Terms and Conditions (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/) (collectively, “SIA Terms & Conditions“). Non-compliance with or breach of any of these SIA Terms and Conditions may result in the KrisFlyer member being disqualified at any stage of this Campaign.
