Best Western Rewards offers a Status Match Program that invites interested members to match Elite Tier from any other hotel rewards program.
Best Western offers a wide variety of status levels (Five Total), and the website isn’t exactly very informative in regards to in-depth details of the individual levels.

Preivously, Best Western Rewards didn’t match to their highest Diamond Select-tier level, but this wording has now been removed. There is no note on the T&Cs that this tier would not be included in the match.
Best Western Rewards Tiers:
1 Points may not be available at all international locations. Excludes Free Night Stays. Due to recent changes bottled water may not be available at check-in at all locations.
2No downgrades to tier levels through January 31, 2022 (applies to Elite members who reached their current elite tier level in 2020).
3Activity required per calendar year to achieve or maintain status. Only points earned on eligible stays will count towards elite qualification.
4New Elite Tier qualifications are valid for the 2021 calendar year. Any Elite member who reaches a new elite tier level in 2021, will maintain that tier level through March 31, 2023.
5Given our current We Care Clean Program COVID Protocols, Early Check-in and Late Check-out, may not be currently available.
Status Match Form
The Best Western Rewards elite benefits are weak compared to the number of nights and stays usually required to attain it. You may receive better treatment at WorldHotels that are more luxurious properties compared to your average Best Western.
Best Western Rewards has had excellent promotional offers lately for North American members, from free nights to gift cards and buying gift cards with a bonus.
Perhaps Best Western could become a competitor to one of the more established chains if they had a more robust loyalty program and better-defined brands.
Here are the terms and conditions of this matching program:
Status Match…No Catch® offer (“Offer”) is open to new and existing Best Western Rewards® members (“Members”) who reside in a participating country, territory, or region and wish to upgrade their new or existing Best Western Rewards Elite Status Membership level to a level equal to, but not higher than, their current elite tier/status level in any other competing hotel chain’s loyalty program (“Competitor Loyalty Program”). To complete the Offer, Members must complete the Offer form available at bestwestern.com. Best Western International, Inc. will determine the equivalent Best Western Rewards Elite Status Membership level that matches the Member’s current Competitor Loyalty Program elite tier/status level, based upon a review of the number of nights, stays, and/or points required to meet the comparable elite tier/status level. Best Western Rewards Elite Status Membership levels are Gold Elite Status (awarded after ten (10) nights, seven (7) eligible stays**, or 10,000 Best Western Rewards Points*** in one (1) calendar year), Platinum Elite Status (awarded after fifteen (15) nights, ten (10) eligible stays, or 15,000 Best Western Rewards Points in one (1) calendar year), Diamond Elite Status (awarded after thirty (30) nights, twenty (20) eligible stays, or 30,000 Best Western Rewards Points in one (1) calendar year), and Diamond Select Elite Status (awarded after fifty (50) nights, forty (40) eligible stays, or 50,000 Best Western Rewards Points in one (1) calendar year). **An “eligible stay” for the purposes of this Offer is defined as any stay (i.e., one or more consecutive nights at the same Best Western branded hotel) with the exception of a stay booked through an online travel agency, a stay booked through a tour operator, and a stay booked at a special discounted rate (see Best Western Rewards program rules for further information on eligibility criteria). Only one (1) check-in/check-out permitted per eligible stay.
