Hilton and Lyft launched a partnership in 2019 (read more here) that allows Honors members to earn points for rides in the United States and Canada.
In March, Hilton joined the Lyft Vaccine Access initiative and awards 2,000 Honors points to members who donate a minimum of $5 by May 31, 2021.
You can link your Honor and Lyft accounts here.
Here’s the info that Hilton sent us:
Hilton, along with other partners, willmobilize members of its loyalty program to support those in need on their journey to get vaccinated. Through May 31, 2021, Hilton will award 2,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points to members who have linked their Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts, and contributed to the Lyft vaccine access fund ($5 minimum). Hilton will also match member contributions up to $50,000. Members can link their Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts (if they have not already done so) at www.hiltonhonorslyft.com and make a contribution by visiting www.lyft.com/vaccine-access.
Lyft’s Vaccine Access initiative benefits low-income, uninsured and at-risk communities across the country by providing access to rides to COVID-19 vaccination clinics, with the goal of providing access to 60 million rides. Funds contributed for these rides will provide access to vaccine transportation in the form of Lyft ride credits provided through national and local non-profit partners.
Here’s what posted to my account today:
The fair value of 2,000 Honors points is roughly $10 at which you can buy from Hilton during their frequent sale, like the one that is going on at the moment (read more here). You still have time to make the $5 donation and earn 2,000 points until the end of May 31, 2021.
There were already some questions from readers when these points, and I told to have some patience. They will, as they did.
It is great to earn points for donating to a good cause (especially when the points are more valuable than the donation).
