There were more birthday-related greetings emails by the programs this year than in 2020 when the Covid-19 was ravaging western countries.
Again, the most useful email came from Aegean Miles+Bonus that was offering 500 miles for the occasion.
You can access Miles+Bonus here.
I was baffled by what was showing on the app?
Also, on the transactions on my Miles+Bonus account?
But they had been deposited to the Together account!
Here’s a copy of the mail that Aegean sent out:
Conclusion
I had some Aegean/Olympics flight purchases for 2020 to visit Mykonos with friends, but all hose plans didn’t pan out, and we’ll have a redo in seven weeks (let’s hope that the situation in Greece won’t get worse).
My preferred Star Alliance program to credit miles is Aegean’s Miles+Bonus, but not for the easy Gold-qualification, as I have a lifetime one from United, but the reasonable number of miles required for most awards, albeit usually with a fee (those pesky fuel surcharges).
Good that Aegean Miles+Bonus does something more meaningful than an email on your birthday.
