Hilton launched an offer to buy Honors points with a doubled limit and 100% bonus that is soon ending. You must purchase by July 8, 2021.
Members can usually buy up to 80,000 points every calendar year before the bonus, although the limit is often doubled for select members (check the purchase page).

Note that you need to buy a minimum of 10,000 points to get a 100% bonus. The account that receives the points must have been open for a minimum of 90 days (without any other activity) or 30 days if there is a stay or other credit.
Note that the points are sold through partner points.com, and the purchase doesn’t qualify as Hilton one for those paying with affiliated credit cards.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui is one of the hotels at which using points over paying cash, which makes a lot of sense. Fibe night stay would cost you more than $5,000 compared to $1,780 if you just buy the points.
Conclusion
The award availability tends to be good, and reward reservations are usually flexible in case of last-minute cancellations or modifications (always check the cancellation deadline!).
You have to keep in mind that Honors awards include all fees and taxes that sometimes can be an additional 30% on top of the initial rate displayed, and all elite members get the fifth night free when redeeming points.
The best use of Hilton Honors points is when and where the paid rates are through the roof, such as the Maldives or French Polynesia properties.
