Reminder: Greece Requires PLF Minimum Day Before Arrival

Greece started exactly a year ago to require all incoming passengers to fill out a PLF (Passenger Locator Form) a minimum day before their arrival to Greece. You then get by email a QR code right after midnight Greek time on the day of arrival.

There was a lot of drama at the Aegean’s check-in this morning in Barcelona when a Russian-speaking couple didn’t have the required QR codes, and the agents refused to issue boarding passes.

You can access Greece’s page for travel information and PLF form here.

Before arrival:

– Tourists must fill in the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) no later than 23:59 (11.59 PM) of the day before arriving in Greece. For more information, please click here.

You cannot do the online form on the day of arrival, like with many other countries, but you need to do it at a minimum a day before.

There are still passengers who are not aware of this requirement and are denied boarding.

Conclusion

So, if you are planning to visit Greece, do fill out the online form at minimum the day before your arrival to Greece.

The airline that transports you to Greece needs to see it, or if your departure is before midnight, the email confirmation that you have completed the form and will have the QR code sent while on transit.
