England is about to announce the changes to the Green, Amber, Amber Plus, and Red list countries over the next few days. In addition, there has been chatter coming out that fully vaccinated visitors from the US and most of the EU would be soon allowed to enter without a quarantine.
There is a requirement of reciprocity of other countries accepting the proof that the UK’s NHS app provides of vaccination status, and UK would, in turn, recognize the EU’s Digital Green Certificate. In addition, there is an issue with various forms of vaccination cards, easily fakeable that those in the US have received.

Here’s an excerpt from the iNews:
Ministers are close to agreeing quarantine-free travel for fully vaccinated foreign nationals from a host of countries, including vast swathes of the EU and even the US.
Whitehall sources said that a deal is close that will see the UK recognise vaccine passports from countries that currently accept the NHS Covid pass for travelling Brits.
It is understood that signing off on the move is complicated by the fact each US state has its own approach to Covid passports, with some states only issuing paper certificates, raising fears of forgery.
Many EU countries have relaxed restrictions on fully-vaccinated US travellers, however, piling pressure on the UK to follow suit.
It has been a stressful summer for Brits trying to travel to continental Europe with continuously changing travel rules and whether the country is on the Green, Amber, or Amber + list with no quarantine or quarantine + test requirements.
The UK also recently introduced Amber +, which would require a quarantine even for fully vaccinated, and some popular holiday spots in addition to France are expected to be added to this list on the next update, possibly Greece, Spain, and Italy.
Many in the UK have turned off the NHS beeping Covid-19 tracing app, as you are supposed to go to a voluntary 14-day quarantine if you have been close to an infected person, even if vaccinated when alerted by the app.
A friend of mine got the app warning after a flight from the Greek islands back to Britain, and another one decided to forgo the UEFA final in Wembley to travel in a few days.
Let’s see if the England + regions would soon allow travel from the US and Europe without extensive quarantine for those that have been fully vaccinated.
