Copa, Panama based airline that used to use Continental’s OnePass and later United MileagePlus as its frequent flier program, is celebrating the 6th Anniversary of ConnectMiles.
To celebrate the milestone, ConnectMiles members can earn double elite qualifying miles for flights August 1 – December 31, 2021, if purchased July 20 – August 31.
You can access Copa ConnectMiles here.
Note that you only earn double elite qualifying miles for flights operated by Copa Airlines or Copa Colombia.
Copa reduced elite qualifying requirements for 2021:
It is difficult to believe that it is already been six years since Copa decided to launch ConnectMiles and take ownership of their loyalty.
The airline was at first part of OnePass and later MileagePlus because Continental owned 49% of the airline back in the late 1990s and later even a majority for a brief time.
Maybe some readers can take advantage of this offer, although I feel that their usual elite status requirements are a bit out of touch with reality.
Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:
The double qualifying miles promotion applies to regular tickets purchased from Tuesday, July 20, 2021 to August 31, 2021 to fly from August 1 to December 31, 2021.

The passenger is responsible for all the documents necessary for their trip, passport, visas, tourist cards and any additional or special requirement or document that is required by the legal and regulatory provisions in force in the countries of departure, transit and destination. Take into consideration that some immigration regulations require Copa Airlines to ensure that all passengers who are not nationals or legal residents in the destination country to which they are going, have a means of transportation (depending on the authority and its laws) to leave of the destination country.
