Miles&More is the loyalty program for Lufthansa Group of airlines; Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Lufthansa, and Swiss + Lux Air & LOT.
The airline has informed its elite members that their tiers have been extended by a year until February 2023 if they cannot maintain status in 2020 or 2021. The airlines are also in the process of reopening their and partner lounges worldwide.
You can access Lufthansa Miles&More here.
Note that both LOT and Lux AIr use Lufthansa’s Miles&More as their frequent flier program, although they are not owned by the group.
Status Extensions:
You are important to us! Which is why we will automatically extend your status for a year until February 2023. This extension applies if you were unable to maintain your status in 2020 or 2021. Should you receive the regular status extension by the end of 2021, your status will of course be extended as usual for two years until February 2024. You will be receiving more detailed information from us by email within the next few days.
Lounge Reopenings:
In the past few weeks we have already started reopening many of our lounges in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as partner lounges all over the world. For example, at our hubs, we have reopened our First Class lounges in Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich, and our HON lounge in Vienna. Our food and beverage service complies with local regulations and is being continuously adapted. In some of our lounges we are now able to offer a selection of warm and cold dishes as well as an increasing selection of beverages. On September 1, we will also reopen our First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. Our worldwide unique premium establishment will of course include our familiar limousine transfer directly to the aircraft, and we are also reinstating this service in Vienna and Zurich.

Conclusion
Lufthansa and its Group airlines are joining others who have decided that the best course of action is to extend member tiers by an additional year that is the right choice.
I believe that airlines that haven’t yet come to the same conclusion eventually will because it is the right thing to do.
