Transfer Citibank Thank You Points To LifeMiles With 25% Bonus Through August 27, 2021

Avianca Lifemiles is currently offering a 25% transfer bonus when you transfer your Citi ThankYou points to the LifeMiles program until August 27, 2021.

You can transfer 1,000 Citi ThankYou points and receive 1,250 Lifemiles including transfer bonus.

Lifemiles over the past year or so has started to increase their partner transfer promotions in addition to their regular mileage sales.

This promotion was originally supposed to end yesterday but has been extended for yet another week.

Transfer your ThankYou® Points from Citi to LifeMiles and get 25% bonus miles from August 8th to August 20th, 2021.

You can do it in 3 easy steps:

1. Visit Thankyou.com and choose Points Transfer.
2. Choose Avianca LifeMiles from the list.
3. Transfer your points!

Your miles can be redeemed by flight tickets with Avianca, any Star Alliance airline, Aeromexico and Iberia, for products on Amazon.com and much more.

The bonus miles will be reflected in your account statement in two separate transactions.

Obviously to use the miles for anything related to shopping after transferring them to Lifemiles wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever but for flights it does actually represent decent value with the 25% bonus.

Keep in mind however that points transfers from Citi (any program really) to LifeMiles are final and even if your trip gets cancelled these miles will never come back to Citibank but will remain with Lifemiles.

As such you should have a pretty good idea what to do with these points before initiating the transfer over to a frequent flyer program of any kind.

Conclusion

Another LifeMiles bonus of which we’ve seen so many over the years. For Citi Thank You points holders it might present a good opportunity however to move some points with a decent bonus IF there is a feasible plan to use them up better sooner than later.

Also remember that Avianca itself it currently under bankruptcy administration and nobody knows what the long term impact of these proceedings will be on LifeMiles.
