Conclusion
I have flown Bangkok Airways a few times, most recently to Laos, but I’ll take their flight next month from Phuket to Koh Samui (the airline owns the airport), and probably later to Bangkok.
Bangkok Airways has interline and codeshare agreements with numerous airlines to whom they provide connectivity from destinations within and around Thailand.
It seems that they have left the data front door open, and someone downloaded all passenger information. I would assume that this data is used for phishing attempts in the future and possible credit card fraud IF the entire card number was exposed (the airlines claims that only partial).
