It is difficult to believe that it is now more than four months since the last global Marriott Bonvoy promotion for double points and elite qualifying nights that ended on April 26, 2021.
Many members, myself included, don’t ever recall a lapse in bonus offers that would have lasted this long. There have been occasional few weeks up to a month or so between offers.
You can check your Marriott Bonvoy Promotion Central here.
Marriott has continued to offer select Bonvoy members targeted bonus offers throughout the summer that we have covered:
When is the next offer out?
This is a thousand Bonvoy points question!
Unfortunately, it seems that Marriott felt that they didn’t need to incentivize leisure travelers during the summer months, and business travelers that primarily benefit from them are still mostly zooming into their meetings.
It would be unprecedented if Marriott wouldn’t launch an offer sometime after Labor Day, but we live in strange times.
My advice to the readers would be to have a top/middle (Platinum or higher with Bonvoy) with more than one chain to move your stays depending on who has the best promotion or go with the quality independent hotels.
My stays this summer have been with both Hyatt and Hilton that have continued to reward their members with good promotions and quality customer service, both gone with Bonvoy.
I had one stay at a Sheraton in June and nothing Marriott related with July or August, and perhaps nothing in September either (I could stay at the Ritz Carlton Koh Samui if the rates are reasonable).
My targeted offer for 4,500 bonus points after two stays is so bad that it won’t make any difference.
