A reader contacted us asking about a special campaign World of Hyatt is running, offering instant Explorist Status in combination with an Explorist/Globalist Tier Challenge until December 31st.
This offer has been posted to Flyertalk a while ago and apparently some people were able to sign up for this through a sales contact at a property or a regional Hyatt sales office until November 30, 2021.
Hyatt had a range of status challenges in the past years but mostly related to corporate customers with an eligible email address to sign up or reciprocity campaigns with American Airlines and MGM Mlife.
The newest promotion which the subject of the readers question was about something posted by a user on Flyertalk in late July of this year.
Details of the offer (a full pdf is available on the linked Flyertalk post):
- Register by November 30, 2021 to experience Explorist status until December 31, 2021
- Stay 10 tier qualifying nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort within the completion of registration through December 31, 2021 to maintain Explorist status through February 28, 2023. Stays must be completed by December 31, 2021 to qualify.
- Stay an additional 10 tier qualifying nights at any Hyatt hotel or resort within the completion of registration through December 31, 2021 and earn Globalist status through February 28, 2023.
- Existing Hyatt Explorist members will (upon successful registration) go on the fast track to Globalist with the conditions outlined above.
To learn more and register contact your Hyatt sales representative.
Now the question is how to sign up for this and who is the “Hyatt sales representative” on could contact?
It could be someone at a corporate office or the local Director of Sales & Marketing at a random property. It certainly doesn’t hurt to call around and ask, even easier if you have a contact at a hotel already and could ask someone there.
The results as reported back from Flyertalk are mixed. The OP seemed to be successful signing up through an Andaz hotel in London. Others had not much luck which could also be due to uniformed agents or simply being shot down by the hotel reps.
Edit: I was able to sign up a basic member account of a friend of mine through a Hyatt Hotel in Germany he stays at quite frequently.
In any case this campaign is around and open for registration until November 30th so if you want to be persistent enough I’d say go ahead and try. That being said you are getting Globalist with 30 nights in 2021 either way.
These are the Terms & Conditions for the Fast Track campaign taken from the pdf:
Hyatt is also offering a targeted Free Night promotion to some members:
There has been a big drive to acquire and maintain tier level customers throughout the pandemic and I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ll see another double night promotion this fall/winter as we had in spring.
Conclusion
There is a new promotion out offering an Explorist / Globalist Fast Track to members who contact a sales representative of Hyatt.
The campaign is a bit unclear about who is able to sign up for this but according to Flyertalk where this offer first surfaced several people were successful by contacting customer service or someone at the property level.
