The former InterContinental Davos that was rebranded AlpenGold back in May, after ownership and management changes, stays affiliated with IHG.
AlpenGold is a dependently branded hotel (wouldn’t the new collection brand be the right fit?), and IHG Rewards members can continue to earn points for stays booked directly.
You can access AlpenGold here.

If you try to go davos.intercontinental.com, it now resolves to AlpenGold’s website, unlike back in May when it returned an error.
Also, if you try to book the hotel on AlpenGold’s website, it takes you back to IHG.
The hotel is again available for bookings from December 17, 2021. There is no rewards availability loaded, however.
What we reported in May:
What happened earlier:
It seems that the reflagging and management changes at this former InterContinental Davos have taken place in cooperation between IHG and the new owner, as it otherwise wouldn’t have continued affiliation with the hotel group.
IHG usually doesn’t have “independent” hotels on its platform unless they are in the process of being rebranded. You would think that AlpenGold would fit the new Vignette Collection well?
