Alert on Conrad Miami’s website:
hotel aka Brickell:
What do you need to do if you hold reservations past October 18?
- Reflagged hotels usually honor all paid reservations past the date when the branding is changed. This is not always the case, however, with awards.
- You won’t receive any elite benefits or earn elite qualifying nights or points past the date when the hotel exits the chain.
- You can always contact the hotel and ask them to cancel the existing reservation(s).
Very unfortunate that Conrad Miami won’t be affiliated with Hilton past October 18, 2021.
Guests, especially elite members, are in a difficult position if they hold reservations past this date, as there won’t be any benefits honored past the handover.
At least Conrad has informed guests 11 days in advance of this change. Sometimes, there is no advance notice at all, and the old branding is just taken off during the early morning hours, and the guests wake up in a “new” hotel.
