A LoyaltyLobby reader sent us an email alerting us about an Accor issue that had resulted in all their ALL points being converted to Iberia Plus Avios.
Readers are encouraged to send us questions, comments, or opinions by email, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. We’ll try to cover them here several times a week.

Here’s the email from the reader:
Yesterday I received a confirmation e-mail from Accor that ‘My partner of choice’ (Iberia) is confirmed and that all my points were already transferred. But I did not transfer these points myself. It was either a hack (on FT there’s multiple cases) or a glitch. Anyway, I reset my password and e-mailed Accor right away.
Guess what? Today, I received an e-mail that the points were put back into my account. Honestly to my surprise, as I find Accor dreadful to deal with sometimes.
Since this may happens to other readers, it may be good to know that this problem can be solved!

Conclusion
I was in touch with Accor, who is aware of the IT glitch resulting in ALL points unintentionally converting to partner miles, and these transactions should have been reversed.
We always warn readers that if they activate the automatic conversion of points to partner miles, that is the requirement to take advantage of certain offers, it will result in all existing points converted without a bonus. This is not, however, what happened here. It seems that some members who had partners selected on their ALL profile had the automatic conversion activated without approval.
I am glad that Accor has resolved the issue, but it may make sense to check your account if you have previously used this program feature.
