Hilton Buy Honors Points 100% Bonus Until February 9, 2022

Hilton has launched its first Honors points sale of 2022 with a 100% bonus through February 9.

Members can usually buy up to 80,000 points per calendar year before the bonus, although the limit is often doubled.

You have to buy a minimum of 15,000 points for this sale to get the 100% bonus.

Hilton still has several hotels requiring just 5,000 or 10,000 points per night, although they have become much rarer than in the past, especially in great locations.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui is one of the hotels where using points over cash makes a lot of sense. For example, a five-night stay would cost you more than $3.900 compared to $1,780 if you buy the points.

You have to keep in mind that Honors awards include all fees and taxes that sometimes can be an additional 20-30% on top of the initial rate displayed, and all elite members get the fifth night free when redeeming points.

The best use of Hilton Honors points is when and where the paid rates are through the roof, such as the Maldives or French Polynesia properties. Always check the revenue rates and compare against the price for points purchases.

It is good to know that Hilton continues its frequent points sales in 2022. You sometimes have the purchase limit doubled, which was not the case this time with my account.
