Conrad Chicago has finally acknowledged that it is exiting the Hilton system on February 7, 2022, after being closed for months and not allowing any future reservations.
We covered back in November that the hotel was sending emails to those with reservations that the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in the city would honor them.
You can access Conrad Chicago here.

Here’s what we covered in November:
A LoyaltyLobby reader forwarded an email that Conrad Chicago’s General Manager has sent out to guests with future reservations.
The email states that the hotel is suspending operations, and there is no indication when the hotel would be open again. Also, Conrad Chicago is not bookable for any future date on Hilton’s website. So, is the hotel gone for good?
Copy of the Email that the hotel is sending out:
Dear Valued Guest,
As a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the hospitality industry is experiencing an impact to business that will require Conrad Chicago to suspend hotel operations.
We understand that you have a confirmed reservation at Conrad Chicago. At this time, Waldorf Astoria Chicago would be happy to welcome you during your preferred stay dates and honour the same room rate. If you are planning to travel to Chicago at this time, please contact Waldorf Astoria Chicago prior to November 20th, 2021 to transfer your reservation. Please email your name, confirmation number and arrival date to WAChicago.Reservations@waldorfastoria.com, and the hotel will respond confirming your stay details within 5 business days. If your plans have changed, please let us know and we will ensure your reservation is cancelled.
Thank you for your understanding.
You cannot book the hotel for any future date.
Many big-city hotels still struggle while waiting for the conventions and business travel to rebound. These properties are tougher sell for local staycations.
We will eagerly away what will come of this hotel, whether it is reflagged or converted to condos that have recently happened with other hotels.
