South African Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Comair’s, a British Airways franchise, Air Operator Certificate for 24 hours.
Comair operates flights under British Airways and Kulula brands. The airline must prove that it can rectify safety issues within 24 hours, or its flights will be grounded indefinitely.
This is quite a drastic move by the SACAA that must have tried to rectify the issues with the airline before suspending the AOC for 24 hours.
Not sure what Comair can do within 24 hours during a weekend to ensure that SACAA won’t suspend its flight indefinitely.
