IHG Sports Rate Plan For US, Canada, Europe, Mexico & Colombia

IHG relaunched its IHG Sports rate in 2021 for stays in the United States and Canada and has now extended it to other markets.

Eligible IHG Rewards members can book IHG Sports rates discounted by 10% at a minimum and mainly offer flexible cancellation rules and are not prepaid.

The rate is now available for stays at eligible hotels in Europe, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, and Canada.

The T&Cs say that at least one of the nights must be Thursday to Sunday to be eligible for the discount.

The IHG Sports Rate is higher than the Advance Saver but is not prepaid and can be canceled up to a day before scheduled check-in.

Conclusion

I am glad that IHG has extended its Sports Rate for markets outside of North America. It allows Sports-affiliated travelers to save over Best Available Rates while having maximum flexibility.
