Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai joined the Luxury Collection portfolio in 2010. Designed and built following the principles of environmentally sustainable development, the resort was designed to recreate a Bedouin encampment spread across the vast dunes, featuring 42 secluded suites with tented roofs, floor-to-ceiling windows, marbled bathrooms, private deck and pool.
The Bedouin Suites are lavishly decorated with authentic and rare handcrafted Arabian furnishings, antiques and artefacts. There are thoughtful touches such as binoculars, an easel with art materials and a writing desk, should your creative instincts be inspired by the landscape and the wildlife you spot.
Bedouin jars for water and dates can be found at most doorways and in the beds that line the tiny road between the suites; chests sit at the end of every bed and ornate Omani doors in heavy wood are framed in glass tables.

A very unique property in the middle of the Arabian desert. Lovely space, and the private outdoors pool is perfect for an evening refreshing swim, but it doesn’t come cheap! The Bedouin Suite (which is, by the way, their standard room), is selling for $1,050++ per night for next month or 95,000 to 105,000 bonvoy points…not a bad deal if you ask me!
