Terminal 2 at Helsinki-Vantaa has gone through a transformation, and some of the work is still ongoing at the time of writing the piece.
Plaza Premium has opened an arrivals lounge, which departing passengers can also use, at the Terminal 2 that I had time to experience this past Friday.
You can access Plaza Premium here.
The lounge is accessible using one of the Plaza Premium products, by swiping your card or those who have an American Express Platinum Card (part of the lounge collection – NOT Priority Pass). It is open daily from 6 AM until 11 PM.
Entrance
The lounge is left when you exit the secure area (arrivals).
Lounge
Wellness
There is a separate wellness area that requires additional payment. Perhaps good use if you have more time to kill.
Bar
The entrance fee includes non-alcoholic beverages, two types of red and white wine, prosecco, and Karhu beer.
Food
There is a separate area for those that wish to eat.
There are bread, juices, soft drinks, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator full of salads, fruit, and some desserts that are self-service.
Food Ordering
Guests can order food from the menu that they can find on the QR codes on each table. There is a note that you should only order two items at a time to make sure that there is no food waste. The food came fast. The lasagna was good, but the arancini balls were way too dry.
Business Area
There was a somewhat weird area that appears to be partially still work in progress behind the “kitchen.” There were a couple of spaces where you could hold a small meeting without being interrupted by others.
Sleeping Pods
The lounge had one room that was full of sleeping pods.

Conclusion
This is an excellent addition to the lounges available at the Helsinki-Vantaa, and the only one outside of the security (accessible to all).
I’ll probably access this lounge when arriving in Finland and have some time to spend. It is convenient if you are hungry and would like to grab something to eat.
