Airline CEOs and boards have been busy this week penning essays about their operation issues and what their passengers will be facing (delays & cancellations).
Mr. Ed Bastian, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Air Lines, has sent out his 754-word long email to passengers.

Conclusion
These emails from Lufthansa (read more here), Air Canada (read more here), and now from Delta are too long and light on detail.
They should clearly communicate what went wrong, why, and how these issues are resolved and cut all the fluff.
Clearly, most airlines weren’t adequately prepared for the summer flying season and simply didn’t have enough staff to operate the schedule.
I am glad that I am doing a minimal amount of short-haul flying (mostly affected) before fall.
