Avianca, a Star Alliance airline, based in Colombia, has launched a new sale to buy LifeMiles with up to a 145% bonus through August 12, 2022.
LifeMiles members can buy up to 200,000 miles yearly (before any possible bonus), and the maximum bonus under this sale is 145%.

The cost of a LifeMiles under this sale when purchased at a 145% bonus is 1.35 US cents each. The lowest price Avianca sold LifeMiles in 2021 was 1.2 cents each.

These miles can come in handy for premium cabin redemptions and are usually the cheapest Star Alliance miles that one can buy.

The bonus for granting is applied as follows: for purchases between 1,000 – 20,000 LifeMiles you receive an additional 125%, for purchases between 21,000 – 50,000 LifeMiles an additional 135%, for purchases between 51,000 – 200,000 LifeMiles you receive an additional 145%. The bonus is calculated on the miles to be purchased per individual transaction, not including the 2×1 bonus. Miles must be purchased in multiples of 1,000. The minimum number of miles to be purchased per transaction is 1,000 LifeMiles. The maximum number of miles to be purchased per transaction during the promotion is 200,000 miles.
