American Express Member Week Experiences & Offers October 10

American Express is about to launch its latest Member Week for the cardholders in the United States that Sebastian recently wrote about.

American Express has now unveiled some of the offers and partners and dates when the offers are going live, October 10 – 14, 2022.

Information that America Express has shared:

Monday 10/10: Shopping

As we gear up for the holiday season, select shopping and streaming offers will be available during the week. Eligible Card Members can enroll to receive access to up to $150 in statement credits on select purchases from HBO Max, Under Armour, Dell Technologies and The Container Store.

Tuesday 10/11: Dining

Card Members love exploring new restaurants and dining out. According to Resy, from January 2022 to July 2022, the number of diners seated at Resy restaurants increased by 75%.
Eligible Card Members will have the opportunity to earn rewards at over 200 Resy restaurants from coast to coast when they enroll their Amex card, getting a $25 statement credit after spending $75+ in a single purchase (up to 2x) by December 8, 2022.
On Tuesday, October 11th, American Express Card Members will have exclusive access to book reservations at 20 popular Resy restaurants for one night only – November 1st – including L’Artusi in NYC, Jaguar Sun in Miami, Elephante in LA, and Owamni by The Sioux Chef in Minneapolis (touted as the best new restaurant in the US by the James Beard Foundation).

Wednesday 10/12: Entertainment

Following epic music experiences at Coachella, Harry Styles’ Harry’s House and the “Lizzoverse”, Amex is celebrating Member Week with a concert experience featuring 3X-Grammy-nominated rap star Jack Harlow at Brooklyn Steel on Wednesday, October 12. Exclusive to eligible Card Members, “American Express Presents: Louisville by Jack Harlow” will pay homage to Jack’s hometown of Louisville, KY and spotlight his favorite local artists and restaurants. Tickets can be purchased beginning Sunday, October 9th at 11 AM ET – check American Express social channels for purchase details. Each ticket will cost $10 withproceeds of the ticket price plus an additional $10 for every ticket going to the Red Cross Louisville Area Chapter *. Fans unable to attend in-person can tune in live on Twitch here.

- Ed Sheeran’s North American +–=÷x Tour (coming to stadiums across North America in summer of 2023): As part of America Express’ Member Week, American Express® Card Members can access tickets beginning Wednesday, October 12 at 12pm local time through Thursday, October 13 at 10pm local time HERE, prior to the general on-sale.
- Coachella 2023 passes for Weekend 1 and Weekend 2: From Monday, October 10th at 10am PT through Friday, October 14th at 10pm PT Card Members have the opportunity to purchase passes to weekend 1 and weekend 2 of the Coachella Music Festival. More info here.

Thursday 10/13: Travel

Amex Card Members are passionate about travel – travel and entertainment spending are exceeding pre-pandemic levels with an increase of 8% from 2019 with a rise of 30% across Q2 of this year, which is why American Express is committed to providing travel offers to their Card Members.
In addition to the more than 200 travel offers currently active for Card Members across airlines, hotels, cruises, tours from select travel partners, during Member Week, eligible Card Members booking through AmexTravel.com can take part in offers from select airlines including Alaska Airlines, Finnair, Qatar Airways and more.

Friday 10/14: Wellness

Through exclusive offers with Calm and Equinox, eligible Card Members can truly live their best life during Member Week.
Eligible Card Members can enroll to get a $40 statement credit after making a single U.S. purchase of $175 or more at The Spa at Equinox, The Shop at Equinox, or at equinoxtheshop.com by November 24, 2022
Eligible Card Members can also enroll to receive a $50 statement credit after making a single U.S. subscription purchase of $69.99 or more at Calm.com by October 31, 2022.

Conclusion

There might be some deals to be had, especially if you can combine them with statement and other credits.

I would be very hesitant to book international airfares through Amex Travel, as airlines tend to require you to go through the agent for any changes, whether voluntary or involuntary, and Amex Travel is not equipped to handle post-purchase support well (essentially white label Expedia).
